Columbia's Baseball Team just defeated Seton Hall 31-0 in seven innings at Seton Hall. The Ivy-League leading Lions are the sixth Division One school in the country to score 31 runs in a game this season. Four Lion pitchers combined for the four-run shutout. The Columbia pitching staff seems to be improving steadily. Columbia has a big series coming up this weekend with Cornell in Ithaca.

Sorry for the typo--meant to say "four-hit shutout." Anyway, the game was not exactly a pitcher's duel.

Does anyone know whether the MLB scouts are looking at Columbia"s Cole Hage? He just seems to have all the attributes you want in a major league baseball player.

Let’s see how we do against a good Cornell team which we are playing on the road. One aspect of the Columbia lineup is that there are no easy outs. The Brown coach said that all of our hitters look like they added 20 pounds over the last year. I am struck by the fact that everybody from 1 to 9 seems to have home run power.

True. There are no easy outs. A pleasure to watch.

we took the first game despite giving up quite a few runs in ninth inning. seems like it's raining in Ithaca - but we are ahead in the 2nd game as well - playing sound baseball and pretty good Ivy record of course - we have a commanding lead at this point in the league! Hope they finish the 2nd game and not call it or delay on account of rain - I mean call it if we are winning lol if Ivy rules permit that!

Columbia up 12-1 over Cornell in top of ninth. Columbia’s cranking it again today.
