(soft mood music with soothing pictures of wildlife)

Always tough to assess the league when the OOL competition is uneven ... and the IL is playing their openers with the competition playing their fourth game.

Columbia looked like the real deal--beating a ranked Lafayette team. All phases of the game looked solid and well coached.

Penn played a good Delaware team, and fought till the end.
Quakers will be a tough squad during league play.

Brown defense is much better ... coaches made critical adjustments at halftime to shut out the Hoyas. DL forced three turnovers. Offense was opportunistic (long balls) but red-zone needs work, and the sacks on Wilcox got Bruno "behind the sticks" way too much. Concerning.

Jameson Wang looked terrific running and passing. Early Offensive POY candidate.

Harvard @ Brown and Yale @ Cornell this weekend will provide more clarity.

now .... back to my meditation
