Sluka is unlikely to make the NFL as a QB. If he is going to get paid for playing football, his best shot is through NIL while he still can.

I will say that this is a bad situation for all involved...

Right now, this looks like a bad situation for all involved but, very soon, this will just be business as usual. The operative word is "business."

As novel as this appears now, it's simply a run-of-the-mill office disagreement. The plant production manager needed to hire a new foreman, so he recruited a guy who had just left a factory in Worcester, Massachusetts. The new guy showed up and immediately demonstrated that he was up for the job.

But his paperwork had not been processed by Human Resources. It had fallen through the cracks. By the time HR got involved, there were no bills left in the petty cash drawer. No Benjamins, no employee.

I think it was Michael Corleone who said, "It's nothing personal, just business."

Nothing to see here.
