Aided by running into the punter penalty and a completely stupid unsportsmanlike conduct penalty by Merrimack. Funny thing was that the Merrimack head coach protested the running into the punter vehemently, but did nothing for the unsportsmanlike condut penalty (the player did the "cash" sign by rubbing his fingers after a tackle). There's something to be said for taking the best punches against a team that clearly wants it more than you do, and still winning.
