I didn’t think anything could top last year’s dramatic comeback win over Princeton, but today surely did so. And against a Harvard team that mysteriously was called for zero penalties, no less. 14 years of torment at the hands of the Crimson, erased.

It’s a great day to be a Brown Bear!

During the game, the 25th anniversary of Brown's 1999 Ivy Championship was celebrated. Coach Estes and many of the players attended, but I think Coach Perry was occupied with the thrashing that Brown then was experiencing.

During the first Ivy game against Yale that year, Brown also won due to a bizarre special teams play. With time running own and Brown losing, Brown attempted a field goal. Yale blocked it, and the game looked to be over. However, Michael Powell of Brown recovered the blocked kick and ran towards the end zone. He wasn't going to make it, so he lateraled to Rob or Gordon Scholes (phonetic), who scored the game winning touchdown as time expired. Yesterday's ending was equally unlikely but equally welcome.
