Rain had little to do with the Yale-Cornell outcome. It wasnt raining in the first quarter when Cornell started hot, and the players werent sliding all over the field or dropping the ball non-stop later on. Cornells big O line took control of the game and the defense did enough. Wang and freshman receiver are the real deal. Yale O line didnt look quite as intimidating as years past and the team perhaps lacked some fire. But last year they lost to cornell and Penn and came back strong after those losses, so who knows.

I completely agree! The rain didn’t impact the Yale-Cornell game at all. Cornell came out strong, and their O-line really controlled the play. Wang and the freshman receiver were standout performers. Yale’s O-line didn’t look as formidable this time, and the team seemed to lack some spark. Cornell has shown they can rise to the occasion, so it’ll be exciting to see how they build on this momentum moving forward!

As I said in the other thread about Poppe, among the rarest of turnaround stories are when the new guy immediately wins with the old guy's guys.

Is it possible that we will see two examples of this rarity this year? Three, maybe, if you count Kalen deBoer, although winning at Alabama ain't winning at Columbia.

It's one game as Cornell played very well vs. Yale, but on to the next game. It's a long season and as we all know Ivy League contests are never easy. I wouldn't want to be the Yale opponent this week. Beat Albany and Go Big Red!
