The signage is really very nice. It's about as sharp as I've ever seen on a football stadium.

Very appropriate.

I was debating yesterday with a friend which coaches have fundamentally changed the way that their sport is played.

We were mostly talking about X's and O's between the lines, but Coach Teevens will make an equally important impact on the safety of the players. His role in the way his sport is practiced and protected is secure.

Thank you, AO. I couldn’t agree more. The classic serif typeface they went with looks even better than the all uppercase Dartmouth that was there before. Looks great. And man if anyone deserved this, it was Buddy.

What I always want to emphasize when I talk to folks about him was how much he loved Dartmouth. He was of course a loyal member of ‘79 and would always emphasize the alumni community, which we cherish to perhaps an extreme level at the College on the hill. He always wanted every aspect of the College to succeed. He did so many things behind the scenes for other people you’ll never hear about. A gentleman of the old school. Anyway, it’s all been said and more eloquently. I think he would have appreciated that they kept Memorial Field as part of the name (after the veterans of the Civil War and WWI).

My first game as a Dartmouth fan was a win against Penn at home, so I always get nostalgic during this game. I hope he’s looking down with a smile.

Archie Manning just said on the Manning brothers' broadcast of Monday Night Football: "Buddy and I started the Manning Passing Academy together and we worked together for 26 years until we lost him. . . a great man and an innovator. . . I miss him every day."
