 I just watched Megan Griffith interviewed at halftime of the Dartmouth-Columbia game. Boy, she personifies energy and enthusiasm.

She was sporting two championship rings which look like they would have fit and been appropriate for a Super Bowl winner. They were huge and they were *SWAG*. They were the kind of ring that Putin would take from Robert Kraft.

She reminds me of her mentor, Courtney Banghart. After you listen to them, you want to strap on some shoulder pads, burst out of the lockerroom and hit somebody.

This will be a defining season in her career at Columbia. As evidenced by her rings and as described by her interviewer, the Lions are the two-time defending Ivy League champions. They have arrived.

But Columbia was also the second best team in the conference each of the last two seasons. Where will things break now, without all-time Lioness Abbey Hsu? This will be a statement season for Megan.
