In reply to: remember it well 's message, "Yale transfer" on 17:18:55 11/02/24 Sat

Carson Beck just threw his third interception of the game. In his defense, he was hit as he threw.

Warner and the Gators take over at midfield.

At what point does Dante Reno realize his playing option is best at Yale and transfer? He'd have four years to start, potentially rewrite the Y record books and with a Championship or two with his Dad. Oh by the way, this would all lead to an invite to an NFL training camp! Just a thought

It's so interesting that our conference has been through this situation at least three times in recent memory: a highly rated quarterback who is the son (or nephew) of an Ivy coach, but turns down multiple Ivy offers to aim higher.

E.J. Perry turns down Yale, Brown and other Ivies in favor of the ACC and Boston College, but then comes back to the fold when his uncle and former Princeton coordinator James is named head coach at Brown. Despite dropping to the FCS, E.J. has spent years moving back and forth at the border between professional rosters and NFL practice squads. He got his shot in multiple NFL training camps.

Dante Reno turns down the opportunity to play for his father Tony in favor of the SEC and South Carolina.

A.J. Surace turns down the opportunity to play for his father Bob in favor of the Big Ten and Rutgers.

Will either Dante or A.J. consider E.J.'s trajectory?
