Good for Lehigh. Another example that, if we were permitted, Ivy/Patriot champions are good enough to compete in the FCS playoffs -- and win.

Our best teams, not every year but our best champions over the course of a few seasons, could make a serious run, including the possibility of taking home the whole enchilada.

Ivy champs won't ever survive a December game in the Dakotas.

UNH, beaten by Harvard, made the FCS tournament but lost by a large margin

You're not going to mention which Ivy team smoked Lehigh?

Holy Cross tied Lehigh for the Patriot League Championship. This provided Holy Cross an unprecedented sixth straight Patriot League Football Championship. Yet, Holy Cross lost both of its Ivy League games this year to Harvard and Yale. These Ivy victories were despite Holy Cross having a significant scheduling advantage. The Patriot League teams season starts on August 31st, while the Ivy League does not start until Sept 21st. These three extra games can make a huge difference refining skills, making adjustments and building team chemistry. By the end of the season, this Ivy League scheduling disadvantage is less pronounced as compared to when the Ivies play against the Patriot League early in their seasons.

There is no question that our strongest Ivy League teams could do very well in the FCS playoffs.
