He has all the tools. Can’t believe this guy skipped under the radar and was largely unrecruited. Looks like another example of superior scouting by the Yale recruiters which was also the case with Kamara. The Ivy League is excellent in general in finding these hidden gems.

The probable reason for Hewitt's being overlooked is because the team he QB'd went 1-8 this past fall. It will be fascinating to see how he does with us.

Due to the impact of NIL money on college sports, Yale and the other Ivys will no longer be able to recruit the kind of talent for football and basketball that we have enjoyed in recent years. Even when the recruitment is successful the transfer portal will continue to lure the best Ivy players away to FBS schools.

Paying college athletes is now legal and that is not going to change

To assume athletes will opt for the Ivy League as opposed to
UVa/Duke/Vanderbilt/Stanford/Notre Dame/Army/Navy/Northwestern because we are the Ivy League and we DON’T give NIL money is , at the very best, wishful thinking.

As I see it options are

1) No NIL money and hello DIV 3 in all sports

2) Allow NIL money from alumni, BTW they can’t legally stop it anyway, and
watch our wealthy alumni base create an national athletic powerhouse in any sport we choose.

I doubt you ever see D3 in all sports.

When the SEC and B1G break away for good, and blow up the golden goose of the men's basketball tournament, D3 will become D4 anyway.

The Ivy League in lacrosse has been and will continue to do well without NIL money.

Who really cares? There are plenty of sports besides football and basketball at Ivy schools that people care about.
