Gritty win for the Tigers over a tough Crimson team on their home field. Croddick was outstanding in goal throughout the second half when Princeton outscored Harvard 9-5. Too many possessions were ended by ugly TOs but the defense was outstanding during the comeback including holding Harvard scoreless during a 2-minute non-releasable penalty at the end of the 3Q. Big difference maker at the end was maintaining possession after the FOs for the final 5 goals of the game.

Thoughts after watching all of P/H, most of second half of C/D, and final 12 minutes of B/P:

Does anyone know this is a very competitive league?

Brown staged a remarkable late 4Q flurry, scoring 3 goals in the final 2 minutes to tie, and had very good chances in OT but could not convert as Penn's G made multiple key stops. I think Penn kept its ILT hopes alive if Brown can beat Yale next weekend.

Dartmouth has made significant progress, being tied (and should have been leading if they had been able to make multiple doorstep shots) after the 3Q, but it looked like Cornell simply had too many superior athletes and D ran out of gas in 4Q. Also D was missing its top FO man, who was injured last week - not ideal versus Cornell's FO group.

Harvard has an excellent O, but P defense got its act together in 2H after a mediocre 1H (and its FO unit had a good 4Q after a poor game prior), with Croddick again proving a life saver. This game exposed, also yet again, what could be an achilles heel for Tigers - the struggles on clearing and other turnovers. Even with an elite offense, it's tough to win the May tournament against very good teams when you cannot reliably clear the ball and gift possessions to the other team.

The coming weekend will determine where the ILT is played. No one should assume anything.

Looking forward to next weekend’s games . I particularly to the Yale Brown game.
Yale which has the youngest team in the league . Is peaking at the most opportune time. This team has gotten better each week. Has played every contest since the Cornell game .
It has been a pleasure to see them grow and Coach Shay has done a great job, along with Coaches Fossner Defense and Nesdale Offense. Have something special happening.
I am going to try and make the trip to see it in person. Then head over to Federal Hill for a great meal. Go Bulldogs

Yale at 9 still needs to beat Brown Saturday to make the ILT.

That Brown squad are a dangerous team. Foley stands on his head, Scandone is a sniper. The whole team plays very smooth. It is going to be a great game. By 2 outstanding teams
