I am not sure how this post is related to the University of Chicago, but we have covered the skiing topic in other posts.

As I recall the issue with Harvard & Dartmouth skiing is lack of any diversity and it's basically a rich kids only sport. Meaning the admission of those kids are probably more related to their parent's financial status rather than the student's academic and athletic achievements. Or at least that was my reading into the topic.
