You are spot on.

Harvard really controlled the line of scrimmage and to an extent I hadn't anticipated. Princeton ran the ball 31 times for only 98 yards, but 54 of those yards were on the final Princeton possession when - leading by 21 - Harvard was in a prevent defense. On the other side, the Crimson ran for 259 yards. That's 6.3 yds/carry to 3.2 for the Tigers.

Passing yards were equivalent (P 242 to H 216), but the Crimson sat on their lead and Princeton hit two 51 yarders, one of which was really a beautiful TD pitch and run by Clark.

After seeing his usage limited in the first 3 games, a healthy Bascon is in fine form (13 carries for 101 yards). Gordon continues to impress (6 for 35) and Craig exhibited his running ability in key situations. Bullock seems to be effective as a second half back when the defense is worn down and he can run downhill (7 for 58). He did pull up lame on a late 46 yard run and hope he's ok. Would have been interesting to see a Princeton safety try to pull Bullock at 6'2" 240 lbs down in the open field had Bullock not pulled up.

Overall, I was impressed with the Crimson's superior physicality and ability to contain Princeton weapon Josh Robinson (only 3 receptions for 24 yards).

It should be noted that Craig didn't have a huge game and was off target more often than usual. He missed a wide open dump pass to an open running back early in the first quarter for an easy TD on a drive that the Crimson did not score at all on.

Dartmouth at Harvard next week is huge. If Harvard prevails it would have a 2 game lead over the Big Green + the tiebreaker.

Harvard v Dartmouth series is 3-3 over last 6 years but Harvard has won last 3. The key to the game will be the play in the trenches and I worry that Harvard may have the upper hand there. Harvard offense has not been stopped all year. May be a shootout.

Highly doubtful when they take into account Harvard's strength of schedule.
