My week picks were 3-1 and 2-0 for the light wieght Ivy's. Bringing the season total to 24-12 and 7-3.

Dartmouth has proven if there defense is back in order they're championship candidates most likely will receive a at large playoff invite. QB Grayson Saunier's three first half TD runs put the game out of reach. Due to the offense scoring deluge, Kicker OZ got plenty of exercise on kickoffs and xps. When called upon punter Luke Armistead averaged 47 yards per punt, including three inside the 20.

Penn's Yale game proved there not championship contenders but very capable of finishing 7-3.

Cornell's impressive 4th quarter drives and their 3rd and 4th down stops has put them on a upswing. This inconsistent team is might make some noise down the stretch.

Princeton, for three quarters went head to head with Harvard.Their lively crowd did their part. Princeton's physical dominance on both sides of the ball was reminiscent of their 2017-2022 dynasty.Arter Harvard's late 3rd quarter TD, it became visible they gave up. Their final drive, they ran seven consecutive times. This game was closer than the score board indicated.

Harvard struggled against Princeton.Due to Princeton "waving the white flag" at the beginning of the 4th quarter, Harvard was able to pull away. WR Henry has been extremely quiet the last few games. He made is electrifying presence felt with a 69 TD reception and a 22 yard run. Coming into this game QB Craig had only 8 carries.Due to Princeton's aggressive defense for the first 3 quarters, he had eight runs.

Brown now has two consecutive bad losses. Two weeks ago I said James Perry looks like a Ivy COY, now he is resembling David Archer. This is disheartening, Bruno's defense is muched improved and their offensive line has become dominant run blockers.Yet, for the Perry era they look like they are going to plateau at five wins- just like David Archer.

Columbia, unfortunately is year Quarterback injures are a factor. For the remainder of the season,They Lions may have to enjoy brief moments like, a good block, sack, reception, fellowship, etc. Despite the 46 point blowout, running backs Michael Walters and Griffin Johnson were a bright spot.

Yale ditched their power run game as Josh Pitsenberger had only eight first half carries. Going to a sudden switch to a pass heavy offense is very risky but they were able to neutralize Penn's defense line. WR Nico Brown had been the occasional vertical threat become the emphasis of the offense.

Ivy Sprint Football
Few weeks ago, referring to Penn I said "no offense equals no wins". Entering this game I said "The Quakers will be close but no Cigar." Chestnut Hill kicked a fg on the final play to win 3-0

Cornell was competitive against Mansfield but lost 27-13.

Picks
Harvard over Dartmouth. Not only this is game of the week. This game often determines the league champion. Harvard should win by a close margin but Dartmouth is very capable of pulling out a victory.

Penn over Brown This could be upset of the week. Brown can easily win.

Princeton over Cornell. This looks like an even match up.

Yale over Columbia. Since Yale's 2016 win vs. Harvard, during November there're 19-5.

"Kicker OZ got plenty of exercise on kickoff"

He's only extra points and field goals. Dartmouth kickoff specialist is Matisse Weaver.

Ivy Patriot: Thanks for the correction.I did not notice that.
Bulldog10jw:While you're correct. Pitsenberger got more carries during the 4th quarter which contributed to his usual outstanding production.

Dante Reno had the same number of passing attempts, 22, for the game as Pitsenberger had carries. Yale's 200+ Yards rushing is hardly ditching the run game.

Navy (5-0) over Pennsylvania (1-4).After this brutal game, next up is Molley and Cornell. This gives The Quakers an opportunity to have a strong finish to a disappointing season.
Caldwell (4-2) over Cornell (0-5).

I think we were watching different games. Harvard dominated the game physically. 259 yards on the ground for Harvard, 98 for Princeton. The Tigers picked up more than half of its yards in the final minutes when the Crimson were up by 21 and giving Princeton the run. Every run, Harvard averaged 2x the distance because they dominated line play.

Craig missed a wide open running back at the goal line on opening drive and Bullock pulled up lame with no one between him and the end zone after running for 46 yards right up the gut on Harvard’s final drive. Crimson should have scored 49+. As it was, Harvard led in time if possession, total yards and were 7-14 on third down and 1-1 on fourth downs. I don’t have the sacks and tackles for loss stats, but I would expect those would favor Harvard as well.
