Last week I was 3-1 for the season 25 -9 on straight up game competition.
Brown had a tough loss against Cornell. They’ve done a very good job. They just need to close the game out , when needed. Our Friday game of the week is being played in Philadelphia. Penn is a better team than what the score was against Yale. I personally thought that game was going to be a lot closer. Yales defense is a strong unit. The offense definitely is getting stronger every week. Dante Reno, is getting more comfortable, each week.
Brown 17 at Penn 28 with a 66% chance for the win. Massey has game as
Penn 31 Brown 24

The Game of the week in Cambridge is Dartmouth a team playing possessed from the start against Columbia.Dartmouth played a complete game against the overwhelmed Lions. Harvard playing in the friendly confines of the Harvard Stadium. Seems to be having a season to remember.
Dartmouth 24 at Harvard 38 with a 75% chance for the win.
Massey has Dartmouth 21 Harvard 31

Princeton a team that is trying for more consistency, see if they can get it together,The Big Red, another team that could be dangerous . With a great comeback OT win against Brown.
Cornell 28 Princeton 24 with a 57% chance for the Tigers
Massey has Princeton 27 Cornell 24

Columbia comes to Yale after a devastating loss to the Big Green for a 1-6 record
They are an injury plagued team. But that is football. Yale on the other hand seems to be in stride for the stretch.
Yale 45 Columbia 14. With a 93% chance for the win
Massey has Yale 30 Columbia 10
Good Luck to all

Gentlemen; on Halloween ancient eight weekend will any goblins come out to spoil the party? I don't think our blue, cantabs, ben franklins and tigers prevail.

Yale knocks off Columbia
Harvard beats Dartmouth
Penn gets by Brown
Cornell steals one from Princeton

Just to add..........I think Harvard goes 10-0 and represents the Ivy League in the FCS playoffs, as long as they don't read their press clippings.

That was a good game. Couple plays here and there it may have been a different result. I really dislike the officiating in the Ivy League.

I thought the officiating in the Penn-Brown was some of the worst I have seen this year. When Erice Frede and Jack Ford are openly questioning calls that is not a good sign.

I agree. Some of the worst officiating I’ve seen in the league and it seemed to favor Penn by a wide margin. The offensive pass interference on Brown’s second TD was atrocious.

I'm not objective, but they did seem to me to favor one side.

Terrible officiating in the game. I hope the Ivy League office reviews their calls.

Say what you will about Reno , The man doesn’t run up the score on opponents. Case in point. Yales offense had the ball with 7:04 remaining. They controlled the ball for the remainder of the game. Pitsenberger, to the ball off of right tackle headed for touchdown. The man stopped himself at the 1 yard line and took a knee. This isn’t an isolated case. This is something that he has done on a consistent basis.
I know a lot of people write a lot of things about this man. But he is classy by doing that one thing. In the years since that incident of not letting Buddy Teevens having a kicking tee. Tony Reno, has matured to being a better man.

Penn showed the same restraint in the Brown game on Friday. Bill Teirney and Princeton lacrosse never pushed the score above 19 goals. Always the mark of a class coach/program.

Two thoughts on Pitsenberger taking a knee rather than scoring untouched with just over two minutes to go:

- it was a smart play in terms of winning the game. It gave Yale a first and goal at the half hard line, with the Lions out of timeouts. After the two minute timeout, Yale could take victory formation snaps, assuring themselves of the win with no chance of giving Columbia the ball. Obviously Yale would have had a 21 point lead if he’d scored but the game wouldn’t have been done.

- will this be the right decision with Ivy teams eligible for at-large playoff slots along with the guaranteed slot for the champion? I don’t think Yale gets an at-large slot in any case but Ivy coaches will need to think about running up the score in the future, given the relevance of polls.

Eli1143770312, yes we are in a new era, that may have some bearing on the new format of getting into the playoffs. But I still like that he doesn’t run it up.
