Well earned win by Cornell. Princeton should just play the first half the next 3 weeks then just forfeit. Save a lot of wear and tear on the layers.

Cornell thoroughly outplayed Princeton in the second half.

Swanstrom quietly putting together a respectable ivy W-L record during his brief time at Cornell.

Cornell win AT LEAST 1 more ivy game i think...

I only saw 4Q, but .... yeah. Getting sacked multiple times by a 3-man rush?

Swanstrom is quietly building the foundation for long term success. The team shows grit. They do not quit in 3rd and 4th quarters like Archers teams did. Fun watching them.

The progress made earlier this season seems to be confined to first halves. A lot to work on but a win in the last 3 games would be a big upset.

Nice win for the Big Red when with their defense stepping up.

Carnell has now won three games in a row. I wonder when was the last time that happened?

In 2016 Cornell started the season 3-0 and hopes were high, but David Archers teams always fell apart. Coaches and players quickly got tired of him and the Big Red finished that season at 4-6. Archer never had a winning season in his 10 years at Cornell and hasn’t found a coaching job since he got fired at the end of the 2023 season.

In spite of his inability to get winning teams Archer was a class act who bled Cornell Red. He is still living in Ithaca and has his own business up and runnin.g

I noticed that a slew of Princeton linemen were out. The defensive line was being manned by freshmen and sophomores. I don't want to take anything from Cornell. They played well and deserved to win.

I think one of the big problems is the OC, not the D. The Tigers, in seven games, have put up 128 1st half points this year to 47 2nd half points. 20 of those 47 points were at Brown. Three of the seven games, the Tigers put up goose eggs in the 2nd half. That tells me that the other DC's make adjustments in the 2nd half and the Tiger OC does not react to them. The frosh Robinson was nowhere to be seen in the last three quarters. Also, the mental mistakes were insane. The score should have been 28-7 (easily) but the OC simply overthinks himself. Ethan Clark was ripping off big gains and they bring that #10 in to get one yard. He can't get out of his own way and it's happened at least 6-7 times this year. The reason why so many d-linemen are out is because they're on the field the whole 2nd half. Coach Surace is very loyal to his coaches, but the OC is where a big part of the problem has been this year. How else to you explain the fact that they are so explosive in the first of of games and so inept in the second half of games.

You are correct. I was remiss by not mentioning that. We were missing most of our starters. Look at the offensive starters a few games back. Most weren’t on the field today

Agree with P-Fan

OC no Perry or Gleason

Points scored in 2nd half against San Diego/Harvard/Cornell

0

The running QB is no Quinn Epperly or Joh Lovett

Kudos to Cornell

Another nice win for Cornell after spotting Princeton two quick TD's early in the game. Then our defense woke up and the offense rushed for over 200 yards. Go Big Red!

Disappointing second half at Cornell yesterday, congrats to the Big Red and I agree the better team won.

The Tigers have been frustratingly inconsistent this season. There have been several stretches where the offense has looked creative and fluid but there have been way too many clunky unproductive possessions, particularly in the second half as noted by many posters above.

Not clear to me if this is poor play-calling, a talent deficit or sloppy execution, but after many years at the top of the league Princeton has slid to the bottom half of the Ivies.

Would just like to politely correct the comment claiming Princeton had a slew of DL out. Princeton had all of their 2-deep DL playing, none appeared to be on any sort of significant snap count.

Good game Princeton
