Agreed they are building talent. They will have the largest indoor practice facility in the Ivy League next year to help with offseason workouts. Agreed it will take time. My primary frustration going back to last year is Swanstrom doesn’t run the football. I don’t think we had any running backs last or this year rush for 100 yards. Meanwhile in just four games we have thrown 10 interceptions and two for pick sixes. Meanwhile our offensive linemen are in a two point stance and I don’t think this coaching staff even teaches them how to run block. Oh well….

I was once again sitting in an airport on another business trip with late flights, typing on my phone. As a former OL man, what drives me nuts is when the coaches have the OL in a two point stance on running plays. I just can't imagine trying to fire out and block from a two point stance. Going back to high school, players were given a star on their helmet when they "pancaked" a defender. As long as you were not grabbing them, you were never called for a hold. Oh well I guess football is not as tough as in my day. Go Big Red!

Who runs smashmouth football besides the service academies, Georgia Tech, and Georgia Southern. Its not just in vogue.

It has already been noted that Cornell faces some recruiting disadvantges relative to other ivies.

Look at Ohio State with a very modern college offense, but their lineman know how to run block. It's football 101. Run blocking is fun and our coaching staff needs to teach our OL to fire-out and drive the defenders off the line of scrimmage.
