I don’t think that is why we lost. The offense stalled in the second half and our pass rush was weak, their QB usually had all the time he needed throughout the game and when coverage forced him to run, we didn’t get to him then either. To me, that is the recipe for a loss, even with a lead. That is my biggest concern based on this opener.

Too many times the QB was able to get out of trouble. Colon looked good in the 1st half and looked like a deer in the headlights in the 2nd half. Also way to many saks, even when SD only rushed 3-4. Hipa has not improved one bit IMHO, which is obvious from the coaches relying on Colon a lot more. To be fair, the Tigers were gassed in the 2nd half. Hi think Colon can be effective as the season goes on. He showed much better than Hipa, even though he hardly played at all last year. Tigers have a way to go to even get a smell in the IL. Maybe next week, we get a better feel for the rest of the season.

He started out poorly in the opening drive with a terrible first pass and then a sack. But he rebounded pretty well from there. Just my opinion. Miscellaneously, it was great to see DL London Robinson out there. That is quite a recovery, I was just hoping to see him sometime this season. On the other hand, I did not see Marcelino out there. And the frosh Robinson had a reception and was a returner, nice to see him this early.
