General Description

"Deepwater 2" is an accommodation work vessel for all types of deepwater offshore construction and accommodation projects.

The vessel�s design, sea keeping characteristics and all aspects of the vessel�s engineering, construction, testing and commissioning is surveyed and carried out under the provisions of RINA.

The vessel has been designed and constructed to provide following offshore services:

Main Generator System

The Vessel is fitted out with 3 x diesel generators of 800 kW each, with electronic fuel injection system. Total generator capacity 2400 kW.

All main generators have automatic start up, synchronising and load sharing capability.

In addition an emergency generator, is fitted in a separate compartment with an output of 155 kW.

MOORING SYSTEM

Vessel is fitted with an eight point mooring system. Each winch is rated at 125 ton. Each drum is fitted with 1250 m of 52 mm wire, connected to a 30.000 lbs (13.6 ton) anchor. A central control panel including CCTV, load monitoring meters and length counters are fitted in the control room.

3. SAFETY SYSTEMS & EQUIPMENT

Fire Detection and Alarm System

The vessel has an extensive fire detection system with heat and smoke detectors fitted, which covers virtually every compartment on board, arranged in accordance with regulations. Alarm panels are in engine control with repeater panel adjacent to the Reception.

Additionally a CO� flooding system has been installed protecting the engine spaces and some of the storerooms. A normal sea water fire fighting system is also in place.

Water Sprinkler System for accommodation

The entire accommodation quarters are protected by an automatic water sprinkle system, including all cabins.

Had a great time at the party this year. I am however pissed off that the leaders, Mirna and Doug, are in a battle over money that was supposed to be used to purchase shirts that were ordered the night of the party. I received a phone call from my friend who was told that the money is gone, and they cannot get the shirts. Basically, 28 people were ripped off after paying money for the shirts. Work it out guys, and do the right thing. Do not let a thing like this ruin what has been a great event for many years. WORK IT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am trying to reach someone regarding the shirts that I ordered at Dock Trash 2007. I got on this message board to see if I can find some phone number to call about what was the deal and seen the message about 28 people out of luck who had paid for the shirts the night of the party. I brought a friend that also paid for a shirt and she never received hers either. Now I will have to pay her and take the lose for both items which is $50.00 or more. Several people in our group never got our pictures and bag. We was told these items would be shipped to us. I am not sure what is going on, but someone has the money and needs to either refund people their money or produce the items. Please let me know what you decide to do. It is not fair to those that trusted people to do the right thing and have to take a loss for whatever reason.

Thanks to everyone who came this year, we had a record 200 people at Mr' Ed's last weekend for the 14th Annual Docktrash Party. Even though the weather tunred to a blizzard (as usual) we only had 7 cancellations. Once again everyone had a blast and the food was terrific. Thanks to Mr. Ed and his crew who are part of our Docktrash family. Stay tuned for next year, it will be a big one "15 YEARS!!!!"

Good news! We are opening an internet cafe / business center on Put-in-Bay. We will have computers for public user with HIGH SPEED internet connections, CD burners, a ZIP drive, color and laser printers, a flat bed scanner, a copier, and a public fax. So for those of you who have had to stay away from the bay because you were waiting for an email or a fax, or had some other computer business to take care of, can now do it from Put-in-Bay. Also, for those who just want to surf the internet or check your internet email, you now have a place do it. We are planning on opening around the first of July. Hope to see you there!

We just wanted to thank Mirna and the Docktrash crew for a great time this past weekend. We drove 270 miles from the Buffalo-NY area for this (our first) Docktrash Party, and can't wait until the next one. For anyone who hasn't been to one of these, you're missing one great time. It was vary well organized. The food, the drinks, the rooms, the pool, the entertainment were all great. We were surprised at all the freebee's they gave you when registering. The bar staff at Mr. Ed's as well as the staff at the Commodore Perry Inn always treated you first class. We felt right at home with all the crazy boaters, who were very friendly. The guy from the other couple from our boating group, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buffalonekkidboating/ that attended with us, "Ruby12222", who claims he "doesn't drink", was having a real tough time locating his car Sunday morning. Could it be the spiked fruit cocktail, or those 100 Jello shots he had the night before? He was ok though, after we pointed out, they took his wife's car for the trip! Thanks again Docktrash crew, and especially Chuck & Lisa for making us feel welcome.

Well the 12th annual Dock Trash was a blast. The Mrs and I would like to thank all the folks who made it possible. We know you spent many hours to pull this off, and all so we could have some fun:) If anyone needs help in the future with a party or the web site we will gladly give a helping hand. Hi Curt, The Dock Trash will not die there are to many of us who do enjoy, care and respect what ock trash really means. Most have been around since the onset have been around for years. The crawl just got left out and when it did get passed it was to late to do anything. I'll be where ever it gets started. It was the fun we all had being together that made the crawl. Hi everyone! We finally had the baby. Arriving on Feb 13, 2002 at 12:35 pm was Brendan. He was 7lbs 11ozs. He has a FULL head of black hair and looks just like his dad (lucky kid!). If I forgot to email anyone, don't take it personally. It has been a hectic week. We look forward to seeing everyone this summer. Only about 6 weeks left to spring launch!!!

Here's a reminder of the 2001 Poker Crawl at Put-in-Bay on Sept 16, 2001. We have the same format as last year. 5 bars, 5 drinks, 5 cards, and alot of fun. Best hand walks away with some cool cash, as well as 2nd and 3rd place this year. Your registration must be received by Sept 7 in order to guarantee that you will recieve a shirt.

YARG! Good Day All! Thanks for the good times. JJ that Bloody Ceasar was great. Elvis...Yarg Me Matie...I sobered up and can't remeber how to solve that wine court slight of hand. I guess it was wine wisdom. The horseshoes were great I would have beat you 2 all by my self if I could have only got another bottle of wine in me. Glad my buddy Dean was there to at least score 99% of the points. You guys were Great!
PS. Diane any advice I gave on Real Estate remember think twice I had at least one bottle of wine and maybe 2 beers. Good Luck!

Just wanted to thank each and everyone of you for the wild, crazy, intriguing and funfilled excursion last weekend! I had a blast!
Fist of all, Kent for your hospitality and invitation. Then, Doug Pressley for the Elvis gig and my first back to back dancing experience. Sue for the most wonderful person, that you are. Barb(Red) and Deb for the coaching me onto the dance floor. Emil for just being you. Keatts for great dance lessons and listening to Frank Sinatra thu tapes and ofcourse yours and Sue's wonderful voices. Johnathon, for Realistate and Interior Design advice and also for figuring out Elvis's cork-screw trick. I knew, you could do it. Lorri, the best dresser. The A+ woman that I am so jealous of. You are so neat! Tonya - another one to be jealous of. Give me your strenght, determination, independance and confidence. It was so much fun sharing domestic appreciation together! Sharon and Kyle for fun w/mixed w/honesty, and reality. Just for the great people that you are. Fred & Missey, wish you the best of luck in your new home. What someone would give for a love and marriage like yours! Last but not least, what can I say? To JJ for being the ......that you are with a twist of sweetness. Sorry for the egg shells in Tonya's tuna salad. Normally rinse after peeling. Had to conserve on water for the final attack! Be so ever thankful for the hostage. They say, paybacks are hell! Time will tell.

August 11th and 12th at Gem Beach Dock party on pier 6.
Come and join the fun ther will be dockage available.
Each boat will have its own special drink at pier 6 so if
you can't get on 6 think of a drink and share a boat with the Dock Trash group.
A nice beach is also available.
Sat the 12th is when we shack and stirr the dock,we will also be cooking weenies and burgers on the grill.

If interested leave message on the board or let me know when you see me so we know how many weenies
we need to throw and burgers to flip.

We all know that south bass has shallow spots. well after years of boating around the island i found a place you can't go over with out prop damadge and a broken skag. so if you have a gps use it and stick to the couse you have laid out. i have two gps units and wasn't using either one dumb i know. $370 for two props will buy a nice gps and richardson charts. highly recomended. stay clear of peach point and close to the nun off of gibralter if making an east bound approch to put in bay. also plot a couse for a west bound approch that puts g-5 on your port r-6 on starboard and g-7 on port. between g-5 and the island is a reef just 2' below water. 300 yards off peach its 2' as well. no one was hurt in the grounding and that's the good news. and i did limp in on one damadged screw. see you at kelly's.

This is supposed to be a two-way thing going here. Yes, we need to do a much better job of keeping the site up to date. But you, as a visitor, need to get involved. Send us your pictures. Send us your stories. Use the message board. Help make docktrash.com a site that is not stagnant like it has been for the past several months. There are many things that have taken place behind the scenes that no one will notice - even when they are complete. Docktrash.com now has a place to call home. We are located above Mossbacks and The Fishbowl at Put-in-Bay in the new Logged On Cafe internet cafe. There you can find Dock Trash Gear and merchandise. We have installed an IIS server which we will be changing over to and doing our own hosting. Our eCommerce site (online store) has been worked on and will be going live VERY soon. We are actually finished testing and are connected to our real time credit card processing servers. The delay in going live was because we didn't have the correct version of Microsoft Access to update the products database. When we are done with all of the infrastructure changes and updates, we will be continually updating the site. Until that day comes, please be patient and use what services we do currently provide.

Hi Everyone, The 10th annual DockTrash Party was awesome but cold.... the sun is out, the water is warm and the boats are in..and that is what it is all about... I hope to meet up with all of you that I met at the Janurary party on July 27th,28th and 29th...Show the Kellys Islanders What Dock Trash is all about and maybe recruit some new memebers...lol....

Along with the new internet cafe comes a little something special for docktrash.com. Docktrash.com now has a place to call home. We will be located above Mossbacks and the Fishbowl at Put-in-Bay along with the new internet cafe / business center. Inside you can find Docktrash Gear for sale as well as check out the latest on the docktrash.com website. Who knows.... maybe a Put-in-Bay web cam is next.... We have to check with the legal department here at Docktrash.com to see if that would be breaking the golden rule - What happens on the island, stays on the island.

I just talked to a couple of people over the weekend that have done the North Channel. They were telling me things are pretty primitive as far as the boating goes. Things like paint cans being painted red and green and put on the end of wooden sticks to act as channel markers (scary). Also, they mentioned that if you want to have electric at the marinas, you should take about every electrical adapter known to mankind. The one guy said he blew the master breaker at the marina after it closed and he only plugged in a 15 amp power supply.

This is a wonderful trip, we have done it quite a few times. Check out Tobamory and Kilarny nice marina hot tub power. We don't go much farther but have tooled around other areas there.

We are not in the water yet. We had a weak motor last season, so we are having a new one built up. On top of that, we decided to completely redo the cabin this year. VAP Marine (soon to rename and move to Harbor Park Marine) has the new headlining in and the new engine built. They will be putting the motor in next week. We have completed redoing the cabinets, backrest cushions, and trim rails. We are hoping to get the new cushion and mattress foam this week and covering it. After that, we will only have the carpeting to put in and cleaning and restocking. Are goal is to be in the water in two weeks (and that includes a 4 day trip to Miami and Key West in the middle of it all). See you soon.
