Subject: Location of Bryant Park House CBS Studio Center

A question was asked about where was the Bryant Park House located in My Three Sons. [The Desilu (Bryant Park) Years (and HOUSE LOCATION?) -- joe, 23:26:33 08/06/02 Tue]

It was located on the Backlot of the CBS Studio Center
located on Radford Avenue in Studio City California.
This has been the filming location of many CBS shows and is still producing shows for CBS and other networks.

It has all the soundstages on the lot listed. if you click on the soundstage number it will give you a diagram of each stage and below the shows shot on that stage.

The house was a facade built onto a barn that was once a barn set from a movie called Melody Ranch starring
Gene Autry. The studio was originaly Republic Pictures.

Compare the barn picture with the one on the CBS Studio page. Thats why the house has the big hump on the roof.

Gillians Island was also filmed there an had the lagoon on the backlot. (The show Rosanne was filmed in the Gilligan soundstage.) Gunsmoke was also filmed there and the Dodge City sets were on the backlot. ( The Dodge City sets were bulldozed in the 1980s, they now have soundstages that were used to film the shows Big Brother and Seinfeld.)
