Just got the tape in. It's set in 1949 somewhere down south. Forrest Tucker (O'Rourke on F Troop) stars as a strong willed patriach of a family which consists of his wife, three teenage sons and a teenage daughter who falls in love with a 30 year old truck driver. The trucker is played by Max "Jethro" Baer Jr. in a not so Jethro role. Baer also wrote and produced it. William Demerest plays a Catholic priest, a friend of the family and Don Grady plays "R.J." the eldest son who goes off to fight in the Korean conflict. The Demerest/Grady appearances are brief and sporatic. Not a bad movie if you feel like an evening of depression.
