Subject: The BUb Years Vs. The Charley Years

Hi guys,

I've been reading the board and I agree with all of your comments! It seems that NAN/TVLAND are anti b&w sitcoms for some odd reason. (With the exception of the first three seasons of the Beverly Hillbillies, I Love Lucy and the Honeymooners) the latter I've never been a fan of. When M3S was cancelled, I haven't watched it since. Well, this is the M3S message board so, as the title states which do you prefer the Bub years (1960-65) or Uncle Charley years(1965-72)! As for me, I liked the Charley years until the WIVES and DODIE showed up! AGGH! Anyway, the Bub years were more realistic and fun and written better. My fav sons were Mike and Robbie. Chip, I think was written better as an 7 to 12 year old than a teenager it was just hard to picture him chasing after girls! Ernie, was okay but he whined a lot in the beginning and I just didn't like him as much as the originial Three.

My next questions are these:

Whatever happend to and why were the characters/actors of Robbie and Chip's best friends (Hank Ferguson/Peter Brooks and Sudsy/Ricky Allen) left or written out of show?

Now to a "Donna Reed Show" question: In the 80's and early 90's NAN showed the 1958-63 and 1965-66 seasons of the show but why didn't they show the missing years 1963-64 and 1964-65? And what happened in them?

If anyone can answer these questions I'd be a big help. Thanks.
