and that plastizote stuff looks interesting. seems to be sold for medical applications. I have pinged a few firms for more info.
to add floatation to my dinghy I used closed cell foam from a local packaging place. It came in 4x8 foot sheets, 1-2" thick, about $100 buck per sheet. I used contact cement and screws to stick it in place. it was easy to cut with a knife, and flexible.

it may be available in smaller pieces as scrap somewhere else.

interested in hearing more from you all about seasteading in BC
