Subject: Information re Yeo/ Burfitt /Carpenter family tree.

Dear Kim Ingram,
I saw your request for information about Yeo's of Coonamble.I may be able to help.
My Gt Gt aunt Franes Ann Carpenter b1798 Devizes Wiltshire UK, married James Trimby Burfitt also b UK. In 1833 they sailed for Au from England on 'The Ellen'. They settled in Bathurst NSW. They had 7 children one being Eliza Burfitt b1837 who married a James Yeo. They had 7 children, one being Earnest James Yeo b1865. He married in 1897, in Coonamble, one Elizabeth McIntrye
b1884. They had 11 children, one being Gladys Yeo b 1909 married Robert Stevens.I do have some information about Yeo's in Coonamble. I came across this because I am researching my Gt Gt aunt Uncle Rev James Ingram, who was President of Trinty College Oxford. He was a famous Anglo-Saxon scholar, (there is more about him on the net)He wrote a will in 1845 in which he names my Gt Gt aunt as living in Bathurst NSW and married to James Burfitt. Small world! I would be pleased to send you more information. Jill
