Subject: STARR FAMILY HISTORY PROJECT

I have been researching the Starr families in Australia for the past 30 years and in doing so have amassed quite a lot of information. The main family I am at present researching came from East Sussex. There were 5 male members from this particular family who arrived in NSW and settled. These were:
THOMAS STARR and his wife LYDIA MUDDLE - arrived 1838

THOMAS STARR and his wife HANNAH HEAD - arrived 1841

WILLIAM STARR and his wife SOPHIA GIBBS - arrived 1839

WILLIAM STARR and his wife ELIZABETH ARNOLD - arrived 1839

JONATHAN STARR and his wife ANN SMITH - arrived 1838

Of course there are many families who have inter-married into the Starrs, so if you feel you have a connected to them, please make contact with me and we may be able to share information and help each other.

Among some of the inter-married names are - FORD; FRANCIS; NAPPER; SOUTHWELL; DARE; CATT; GRAY; MONTGOMERY; ARCHBALD; TURNER; FARDON.

One family settled in the Camden area; another down towards the Canberra region; another went to the Hunter River and from there to the Grafton area; there was another branch who seemed to be around Bourke and the far western areas of NSW.

Please do make contact.

Sincerely,
Min
