NATURALLY BREATHTAKING CHRISTMAS PAGEANT AND PARTY!!!

Wow!!! Can you believe how quickly the holiday season is approaching?

We would love to have you participate in our last pageant of the year. It will be our Christmas Pageant on December 12th at 11am in Salisbury , NC ). Our events will be Natural Beauty (Sunday Best Dress) and Holiday/Winter Wear.


Don't forget that we are offering a 10.00 discount if you have done one of our pageants. If you are new to our system, as long as your deposit is postmarked by Dec. 6th you may also receive the discount.


After the pageant around 2pm we will be holding a Christmas Party for anyone that has ever competed in our systems. Siblings are welcome to join in the fun. We will be having lots of goodies like cupcakes, cookies, chips and drinks. Some parents have expressed a desire to also bring Christmas treats to share. I am sure we would all appreciate having more to snack on. Yum, Yum!!


We will be having a gift exchange for the children. Any child that wants to participate will need to bring a wrapped present valued at 5.00 for their age division. We will mark the age divisions then exchange the gifts. Please remember that siblings are welcome also.


We are planning on lots of fun and games for the children.

Age Divisions (Age as of Pageant Date)
Boys: 0-2 yrs./ 3-5 yrs.
Girls: 0-18 months /19-35 months / 3 yrs./ 4 yrs./ 5-6 yrs./ 7-8 yrs./ 9-10yrs./ 11-12 yrs./
13-15 yrs. / 16 & Up (Age as of Pageant Date)


We are looking for a pretty face with a sparkling personality. There is no pageant experience necessary! Our pageant is a perfect pageant for all contestants. Attire is Sunday Best. There is NO pageant attire, fake hair, or flippers allowed. Makeup is allowed but should only enhance the child’s beauty.

All contestants will receive a tiara, embroidered sash, and gifts. No one goes home empty handed!

I want to start my 3 year old in pageants. I can read all about when and where, but I'm wondering "how". How do I know what she's supposed to do on stage? Are there any videos? Books? etc. Can you recommend a coach or school? I can't even find a dress shop near me (Fayetteville/Raleigh area). Any suggestions for a new-be? Thank you.

Miss Motor Speedway® & Miss Teen Motor Speedway® Pageant assist contestants who need scholarship assistance and pageant entry fee assistance. Sugar and Spice Christmas pageant Dec. 5th Get out those Christmaswears!
Starz and Glitz Christmas pageant Dec. 12th Kings Mountain Womens Center Win fees off of state coming up in April. State queens have parties,ride horse and carriage, and receive lots of gifts.
SEC Christmas pageant Dec. 20th Win fees off of state, and they actually do some appearances with the state title.
Southern Celebrity NC state pageant Jan. 16th Toddlers and Tiaras are filming this pageant for the TLC show to kick off their new season!

I can't believe how childish all of the mothers are acting on this board lately. I for one get tired of seeing people bashing everyone elses' kids. I hate their children have to see and learn from this awful behavior. All mothers should be an example for their girls!! I have left pageants in the past and had my own opinions about how it went but I was mature enough to keep them to myself. All of you need to get over it and stop bashing each other's children, judges and everyone else you can drag down with you. Become a role model for your child and show them how to be a good sport even when they don't win!! Trust me, you will someday regret posting all of this stuff on this board even if it doesn't have your name attached to it.

Eddie & Marie Maroules had a wonderful pageant, as always!
Mr. Eddie is getting ready to under-go back surgery so please remember to keep him in your prayers.

The outgoing 2009 Pitt County Young Miss Court, a former "has been" and the PONC State Teen Miss all provided excellent entertainment.

PONC State Queens that attended and fundraised for Victory Junction were: Wee Miss Stephanie, Tiny Miss Alaina J., Young Miss Elizabeth, Teen Miss Jessie, Miss Morgan,Royal Danielle, Mini Supreme Kaloni, and Overall Supreme Victoria. We are so proud and appreciative for all they and their parents do.

The previous week we all met at the Sheraton and had a PJ/pizza party. The following morning piled into taxi's and headed to parade line up for the Raleigh Christmas parade. That was ALOT of fun to participate in. Then......On to Ragazzi's to enjoy a wonder family Christmas Party. We've all been very active and enjoying every minute of it.

All of the contestants did a great job. PONC congratulates all of the winners, and wishes each of you the best of luck at the Princess of North Carolina State Pageant.

The pageant begins at 5:30 p.m. and is an official event of the "Twelve Days of Christmas" celebration sponsored by the Cherryville Chamber of Commerce. Girls newborn to age 19 are eligible to participate in one of 10 age divisions. The competition includes beauty and photogenic categories. The winners will ride on the Santa Claus float in the Cherryville Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 12 at 10:30 a.m.

Somebody didn't like it when a fundraiser took away the glory from her child. Someone complained because they didn't like the way Ms. Deborah did her pageant cause their child didn't win, and someone else complained about the judges, and someone else complained about the hairdresser. Now someone is going to complain about princess. lol....Now I want to complain about you....
Shutup complaining all the time. Its Thanksgiving, can't you who sits behind a screen hiding that have nothing better to do than bash, point fingers trying to find a reason your child just didn't have what it takes to win... anyway, you get my point. All you do is complain and put others down! For once can't you be nice during the season. Why add heartace and cause pain especially since you are one of the blessed ones. You have a child that doesn't have a handicapp or one that has cancer, your so blessed. You have a job or either your blessed to stay at home. I'm telling you people that come on here and try to start a bashfest that you don't need to keep inflicting pain on others. Be thankful that your blessed and pass it on, especially during the season of "Thanksgiving".

*Director who gets on the board to explain herself while letting everyone know she had at once a bad check issue.

*H/M person gets on the board to call out what they thought was wrong at the pageant.

* Judge gets on the board to address a comment left for her.

IMO.....why do you three have to take it personal, all of you are suppose to be professional. After every pageant there is always bashing....ALWAYS but you never see the directors, judges and H/M involved. Dont lose your cool ladies it can and will effect your money.

First as a soldier that served in Iraq, I want to say thank you to these two little girls. Second, it is a shame that grown adults have to fight and bicker over something that is suppose to show our troops how we appreciate their sacrific. A simple request was asked. Since CC had already started a project with that name in this area please change the other little girls name of her project. If it was my child I would have asked the same thing. Because I wouldn't want someone else taking credit for my daughters hard work. And CC has put alot of her time into this project and has been working on this project since this summer. I personally spoke to the post commander here at Fort Bragg on her behalf. The Calbreese have been involved with the military from one aspect to another for generations and they want to show their support and love for the troops. So I ask you as a soldier, was the original request worth the tarnishing all this bashing has caused on the projects. As parents and grown adults, what example are we setting for them. I know I teach my children to talk things out not by argueing and that is exactly what all this bashing is. Solution, come to an agreement, continue to support our troops and start acting like adults and stop putting each other down.

Did anyone see the tv show "Gown Town" last week? At least I think that's the name of it, but I can't find it on google. I don't even remember what channel it was on, but it had one of the former contestants on "Project Runway" and he designed pageant gowns and costumes for several girls in his state (I think Oklahoma or something)? I can't find it on my DVR listing. Anyone have information? I enjoyed the show a lot.

REGISTRATION 11AM PAGEANT STARTS 12(NOON)

All contestants that attend the NC open state will receive at least a gift, crown and fees off the National. No contestant will leave empty handed!
See below for details on fees off for referrals and sibling discounts!

Age Groups:
0-11 Months * 12-23 Months * 2-3 Years * 4-5 Years * 6-7 Years * 8-10 Years
(we will add more age groups if needed)
We do offer a 30 day fallback. You must mark this on your entry form if you plan to use it.

Attire: Each contestant will first appear on stage in a beauty dress of their choice. Hair pieces, tanning and make up are allowed. We will do a group line up for beauty wear and then each contestant will appear on state one at a time.
Contestants will then appear on stage in an Outfit Of Choice. Color, style or theme is up to you. You may bring your own music for this event (OOC). Time limit on stage is 60 seconds.

Photogenic: We will award two photogenic winners in each age group. One Cover Girl photogenic (Natural) and one Model Photogenic (retouched). If you do not have a retouched picture you can enter two in the natural. Additional pictures can be added for $5 each.


Division Awards: In each age group we will award a Most Beautiful and Best Personality.

We will crown a NC State Celebrity Queen and NC State Celebrity Princess in each age group!

The following Supreme titles will also be awarded…

Baby Miss-NC State Celebrity Mini Supreme (0-23 Months)
(Crown, custom sash, gift and ˝ Supreme package to the 2010 National)

Tiny Miss-NC State Celebrity Mini Supreme (2-5 Years)
(Crown, custom sash, gift and ˝ Supreme package to the 2010 National)

Little Miss-NC State Celebrity Mini Supreme (6-10 Years)
(Crown, custom sash, gift and ˝ Supreme package to the 2010 National)

Miss Grand- NC State Celebrity Supreme (all ages)
(Crown, custom sash, gift and FREE supreme package to the 2010 National)

Our judges will be coming from out of state!

Sibling Discount: Full price for 1st contestant and ˝ for each addition contestant.
Sibling discount is only good for sisters or mother/daughters.

Referral Discount: For each contestant that you refer that enters the pageant you will receive $10 off. Referrals are contestants who are not already on our mailing list. Two contestants can not use the same referral. (Make sure that the referrals that you contact write your contestants name on the referral line on the entry form)

Subject: can someone explan the difference between Princess of NC and a Carolina Princess? Mainly I am trying to figure out the Carolina Princess....PONC is pretty well documented, but Carolina Princess is so confusing..... I know MAO Prelim Miss contestants can have a Princess. But do these girls go on to State with their Miss if she wins a prelim? And then I read somewhere there was a State Carolina Princess....what's that? A pageant for all the prelim Miss Princess? I am sooo confused!! Any help would be appreciated --- a new Mom tryign to figure this all out...

Subject: Question for Directors or anyone in the PONC system... why are the prelims different in each county? IS tehre not a set expectation of the state level people think should happen? It would help a lot of new pagenst parents to have a set standard instead of each prelim deciding that they like one part of PONC but not others. This 'pageant cult' is confusing enough without having to figure out what each individual prelim is looking for. Just a suggestion.

My daughter has a GORGEOUS lime green Tiffany's dress that is in EXCELLENT condition. It's a halter neck with a nice amount of stones. A tulle tie in the back that goes around the front with big stones in the center. Looks wonderful on stage and stands out so much against the usual pinks, blues, and white dresses! It's a girl's size 12 but will fit a 14 since Tiffany gowns run a little large. So far I haven't seen anyone else in this style.

$98 includes shipping.

We purchased it new and she's worn it 4 times and placed 1st alt twice, 2nd alt, and top 10 in it once. All I'm asking for it is $90 because we've already purchased her a new dress and it's being altered. She's naturally tan and so there are no tanner marks in it.

The Miss Gastonia Scholarship Association will sponsor the Cute Kids Costume Contest on Sunday, October 25 at 2:30 p.m. at the Cherryville Community Building, 108 South Jacob St., Cherryville.

The contest will feature children wearing cute Halloween costumes. Girls and boys ages 0-12 years may enter. A first, second and third place winner for best costume will be named in each age category and an overall best costume award will be given to the girl and boy with the highest score. All participants will receive a treat bag.

At crowing Mr. Tim will pull a key from a hat. If your key matches Mr. Tims, you win the car!

I just have to say this, whoever introduced the pageant world to ric-rac should be locked up, these clothes are horrible!

Outfit of Choice has become nothing short of a costume get-up worthy mostly of a stripper pole.

You all can not honestly tell me a 4 year old in Western wear dancing to "Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy" is anywhere near appropriate!!!

There I said it...I feel better, now fight amongst yourselves :)

Jenny Parks & Emily Coltrane directed the pageant and the event was well organized and ran very smoothly.
The American Children's Home Auditorium was a great place for a pageant! We loved the facility (lots of room)!

Thank you to everyone that is supportive of Victory Junction. The concessions and raffles really help to benefit the Victory Junction Camp and we appreciate all the love that's donated and given.

The two LMNC prelims will be held on the same day, Oct 3rd at the Lincoln Cultural Center in Lincolnton. Ages are 0 to 18 yrs for young girls and 19-26 yrs for Miss Contestants. All winners and runner-up will be able to advance to LM/TM NC Scholarship Pageant. The State winners from ages 14-26 will be able to advance to Miss NC USA Pageant and Miss NC Teen USA pageant after their reign. Talent is now an optional Competition and required for the Majestic Title. A Mini Majestic will be for ages 15mts-6yrs. If we have 30 contestants we will pay sponorships to State. FOR YOUR INFORMATION ...

The Little Miss Gastonia Pageant will be held on Saturday, September 26 at Bessemer City High School, 119 Yellow Jacket Lane, Bessemer City. More than 40 contestants will participate in the pageant.

The competition for ages 0-8 years begins at 10:00 a.m. and features the contestants in casual wear and beauty categories. The ages 9-19 contestants will compete at 1:30 p.m. in casual wear, beauty and talent categories.

Two winners – a Gastonia queen and a Gaston County queen – will be crowned in each age division and become members of the Miss Gastonia Queens Court. All contestants receive a tiara.

The public is invited to attend the pageant, which is sponsored by the Miss Gastonia Scholarship Association. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children age 16 and younger.

People attending the pageant are asked to bring canned food items and school supplies, which will be donated to needy families and children.

The deadline to enter the pageant was last Friday.

Hi, Everyone. I just had the sweetest lady make parade signs for me. I found her on ebay and she did a RUSH order, RUSH delivery, made them on a Sunday night, sent unlimited proofs, and made all the changes I wanted, all for less than $35. If I hadn't waited until the last minute, it would have cost about $28 or so for 2 12"x24" magnetic parade signs with 7 years outdoor use (most are 3 years). I told her I'd pass along her information (she didn't ask me to do it and didn't give me $$ off for it) because I was SO impressed with her. She takes paypal, so it's guaranteed, and she is confirmed.

What is the general rule for giving score sheets back? I've been to a lot of pageants and I have always thought that being able to see what the judges think your daughter can work on to get better is always a plus. I have never seen a director refuse to give score sheets back. Is this a common practice or just the directors decision? Thanks for your thoughts

The Little Miss Gastonia Pageant will be held on Saturday, September 26 at Bessemer City High School.

Girls newborn to age 19 are eligible to enter. Two winners -- a Gastonia queen and a Gaston County queen -- will be crowned in each age group. All contestants receive a tiara. Plus ... we are awarding cash prizes to the overall photogenic and talent winners. The pageant is open to N.C. residents.

Much easier to read than the boards and without the bashing/extra information. Just info on pageants. Directors could email information for postings and applictions to me for posting, free of charge. Girls who sing for talent almost never score well at pageants? We watched a lot of pageants this summer to help my dd decide which way to go - dance or sing for talent as she ages into those groups. She is a great little singer, and an ok dancer, but many times girls who are not really great dancers will place over a good vocalist. I don't get it? My dd really wants to sing, but I think she will be disappointed if she goes that direction. Please don't bash kids, just looking for other opinions!

Any ideas? I've heard that you can swish it around the bathtub with Woolite and then roll up a towel and place it in it to dry to hold the shape. Has anyone ever done this before? She never signed a contract with Southwest High School and never paid a deposit. They are restructuring the price however if she had turned in the application that was mailed to her TWICE and paid the 100 dollars to rent the place. She could have had the pageant!! If you do not believe me please call the high school and ask like I did.

So do you Lori defenders have anything to say now? She knew the price restructuring issue in June yet the venue was changed a week before the pageant!! Please!!

I am considering holding a pageant in NC and have a few questions for all of the seasoned pageant Moms out there. Tell me what you would be looking for...natural, glitz, semi glitz? What type of trophies, sashes, or crowns, etc? How do you feel about runner-ups getting small tiaras? (I am on the fence with that idea)

What types of optionals are you interested in? I would definitely have beauty, casual, and photogenic but what other categories do you enjoy the most and for what age groups?

What to you helps to ensure you that a pageant is FAIR and how can I ensure the girls are having fun?

I have tons of ideas just from the pageants my daughter has done but I want to know what each of you are looking for. I want this pageant to be a success even if it is a one time deal.

I would really appreciate all of your opinions and hope you will be willing to share your likes and dislikes with me.

The two LMNC prelims will be held on the same day, Oct.3th at the Lincoln Cultural Center in Linconton. Ages are 0 up to 18 yrs for young girls and 19-26 yrs of age for Miss contestants. All winners and runners up will be able to advance to LMNC State and the State winners from age 14-26 will advance to the Miss USA Pageant. Changes have been made at LMNC this year. Girls will only compete in Talent for the Majestic title. There will also be a Mini Majestic for ages 15 mts-6 years. You don't have to compete in talent for age group winners! Ok, I am going to ask this question but if your response is just going to be to tell me horrible things about the pageant, I don't want to hear it. I have never done the system and want to give it a shot. Now what I want to ask for those of you who have done the system what exactly to expect as far as modeling, stage walk, etc?

Also, the girls in the 5 year old age division required to have a short dress? We have done about 7 pageants so far but they have not had dress requirements and I wondered if I should begin looking for a dress now?

Last, this is a semi-glitz type pageant right? We have only done natural pageants and again we are new to the pageant world, what requirements are there for semi-glitz? I just don't want to go to the pageant unprepared.

My name is Rick. I was the photographer at the Miss NC Sweetheart State Pageant on Saturday. I just wanted to say that I thought Miss Lori did a fabulous job putting the pageant together (basically by herself) and that all of the contestants looked beautiful! was enjoying reading all the posts regarding the state finals & noticed they have been deleted. Guess those in charge don't like knowing those involved were very dissatisfied with the over all running of the pageant. It is so obvious to those of us that haven't participated in this system often enough, that there is a major conflict of interest that goes on with this system. so i am here to encourage anyoone thinking about placing your daughter in this sytem to do a little more investigating before you do so. I looked at their website & notice the same girls winning every pageant they hold, no new fresh Natural faces! sounds fishy to me

The ones who do the bashing are usually jealous because they want what someone else has--these girls who compete weather they win or lose are winners and I haven't seen one girl yet who has lost not accept it gracefully--it is the grown-ups who need a lesson in manners. The girls in this court have shown how to be tolerant and gracious no matter what the situation was and it is going to take a very special group to step up and fill their shoes and this cannot be done unless they have the guidance of their parents and others --ss grown-ups---GROW UP. This is not meant to offend anyone but if it upsets you then maybe you have something to think about or a reason to be offended!

Can we please discuss upcoming pageants and events like this board is made for instead of bashing every system after every pageant. Honestly people pageants are judged by people with OPINIONS which means when you enter you understand whether you daughter wins or loses it is an OPINION. My daughter doesnt win every pageant and we dont bash anyone. Im sure most people would agree bashing kids or parents or anyone doesnt change the outcome of any pageant. If you cant handle pageants you shouldnt do them. There are alot of kids that actually love to be on stage and understand you cant always win. I hate to see pageants being portrayed like this, dont ruin the idea of pageants, people are already starting to give pageants a bad name. Also this is not any kind of bash, just would like to see people having fun again instead of having to win.

As someone who has watched the majesty of the LMNC pageant, every year, for 20+ years, I can no longer sit back and suppress the dismay that I am feeling.

Aligning yourselves with another pageant eliminates the coveted "Best of the Best" status, do you not see this?? You have inevitable become a preliminary to a state pageant. Isn’t that the ultimate goal for the Teen Miss/Miss USA contestant, to be then crowned Teen Miss/Miss USA at their state level and then go up their ranks?? These ladies do not have to go through LMNC to achieve that level as a contestant. What makes the LMNC winner, "the Best of the Best" when she's standing beside her equal at the Teen Miss/Miss Usa pageant? You have become no more than a stepping stone, as are other preliminaries. This is very dishearting.

And still yet, you lower your standards again and drop the mandatory talent competition. What makes a pretty face and a decent 3 minute conversation "the Best of the Best", if she's not talented as well?

I know my post will fall upon deaf ears. LMNC and company are 4 foot down a 6 foot grave and are trying fiercely to find a way out. It is my opinion ladies, that you took the wrong turn. You have indeed, killed anything that was left of the supremacy Joyce and Cindy built within the pageant world. I bid you bon voyage and farewell. Hopefully one of the younger systems will someday grow, and become the magnificent coveted "Best of the Best," as it will not be located on your court after this years reign.

The pageant is being held at Turner Auditorium at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C. On stage competition starts at 1:00 PM. The auditorium is in the center of the campus. You can find directions by putting in the college and town on Google.

I am looking to start my DD in natural pageants and was wondering if anyone could give me their opinion on these two systems. I would also love to hear about other natural systems within North Carolina. Thanks!
