I'm so envious of you all that you have a Krispy Kreme's in your cities. We don't have any where I live. The closest one is Chicago which is a 4 hr drive, not really a "drive on your way to work".

One of my supervisors at work has a friend that lives in Chicago and so he's brought back krispy kreme donuts for all of us in the dept. What a sweetheart.

As far as donuts go, I like donut holes a lot so I probably would enjoy Tim Horton's. Otherwise I like glazed donuts and the bismarks with chocolate frosting and creme filling in the middle. This one bakery in Middleton (local shop) has the best pastries that I've tasted. So I guess we do have something here.

Wow, pop, candy, donuts at your high school. The would have been a dream in my high school. I went to this small, country high school where the students were treated like prisoners. I don't think it would have been looked favorably by the parents, administration or teachers to have that "stuff" available for students. (But if health was an concern, they should have looked in to the lunch food they were serving us in the cafeteria. I bet some of that food wouldn't have been approved by the health dept!) Though in either 10th or 11th grade we were allowed to have a pop machine in the student lounge. Wow I bet they thought they (the administration) were giving us a lot.
