In reply to: Bix 's message, ""Worst Family TV Show of the Week..."" on 01/24/04 9:42am

"Richard bobbed his head up and down, vigorously, suggestive of performing oral sex on Colin."

"Richard embraces, almost kisses, and then mounts Wayne on the floor in a blatant sexual position."

You know, when they describe it all like that, the humor just goes poof. Yes, that's the bare bones of it, but dissecting a joke kills it.

These people have GOT to open their eyes. Since WHEN was "Whose Line?" a "relatively clean program"?

You're right, Bix. And yet, the show is on ABC Family. I understand people being misled about what they're going to see. It WAS pretty blue... but still funny. I can't remember with this rerun if there was a warning at the beginning of the show, but there should have been. And I mean something more obvious than the little TV MA or whatever in the upper left corner.

Still, I agree with you that little children probably wouldn't have gotten the implications. And if any parent WAS watching with a young child (or any child the parent wants to protect from certain subjects), the minute Richard said he would be all the props to the men, the parents should have changed the channel.

... "You look like you've been freshly sugared, if you know what I mean" went under a LOT of people's radars--to put it in polite terms, the remark relates to post-coital effluvium on the male genitalia.

"To put it in polite terms"?!? LOL. Well, I guess one could be a lot more vulgar describing that. Maybe "clinical" is more the way you described it. But, no matter. That's for the article. Very interesting.
