Emotions unraveling
Ridding the disarray
Hope springs eternal
I’ve heard many say

Unloading the stress
The silent stagnation
Removing the clutter
Of littered frustration

Clean sheet of paper
Becomes the outlet
In clearing my mind
From worry and fret

Pen drank the tears
Absorbing the grief
Each drop of liquid
Is a welcome relief

Thirsty was this pen
Spilling out the pain
Re-gathering Hope
To write once again
