Allow the silence
To overwhelm you

Meager moments;
No talking,
Just listening.
Listen as I
Bare my heart
To your intimidating gaze,
As I empty the
Stewing pot of my
Melted soul

This is not an act
I perform for

Just those I carefully consider
Special
In their own

How I am drowning
In the soupy mess
Of my heart's affections,
How it bubbles over
In a thick froth
Whenever I see you,
Whenever I speak to you,

Melodious voice
And tinkling chuckle.
'Tis a viscous broth of
Tears blended with
Shed blood and
Carved flesh
I serve up for you
To digest, sparingly
If it is needed;
But I must feed
This Venusian luncheon,
For it has become
Such a precious piece
Of only myself
For my own bloodied sake.
This matter, however,
Must be spoken of
In a hushed tone
With a quiet manner
For if spoken to loudly,
It will fly off
