I approached Cierra's stall under that shadow of darkness. She nickered at me as I put her halter on her. After a quick tack up, I rode her out into the cool night air. Everything was dead quiet except the sound of Cierra's hooves as they softly hit the ground. We rode out onto a trail. Soon, we approached a log that looked ok on both sides, so I backed Cierra up and nudged her into a smooth canter. We soared over the little 3 ft. log with a foot to spare! I let her keep cantering until we reached a small stream. We proceeded through it, and continued our fabulous trail ride. Soon, we reached the barn again. I untacked and put Cierra back into her stall. I gave her an apple, and promised that I would be back tommorow to see her. It was a fabulous trail ride!
