A deep hum reverberated as the eggs began to rock slightly backwards and forwards, their occupants now wanting to see the outside world that existed beyond the confines of the hard shells. Hurriedly the candidates were gathered and pushed into place. Most were fairly young, between 13 and 15 rotations (Or equivalent) but there were a few older ones there as well, a 19 year old male who had been meant to stand for the last two clutches at Terren, but had missed both, one through illness, the other through injury. He stood next to Kyrie and introduced himself as Rio, floppy black hair fell in grey eyes and accented the paleness of his skin, and all in all he was dashing with strangeness about him. He placed himself in front of a clump of blue and copper and brown eggs, it appeared that Freedel had felt like a tidy up. Over from Rio, Trema stood looking around dazedly, wondering if any of these dragonettes would want him. Two friends jabbed each other, Chris and Joseph; Chris’s hair shone like fire in the sun that filtered in, Joseph’s hair a medium brown. A group of three girls were looking and pointing at a green egg which had a crack in it. Suddenly three emeralds burst out at once; Gaudel paired off with Gema, Talassaenel with Luce and Jekendel with Kat. Three whites had broken free on the other side of the emeralds as the first impressions had been made. The only male out of the three went to David. The two females teetered around as a brown left his shell. Finally the whites paired off, Aeldel with Felicety and Xianel with Jan. The brown looked around, feeling lost and crying pitifully when a boy strode over to comfort him. Impression had been made.* I am Zamalael Trema, you have food? The boy looked down in surprise, he had been chosen by a brown! Next four whites and two blues paired off; White Kemel to Adam, White Miunel to Clair, Blue Shimael to Yuseph, White Zhantsel to Dan and Blue Dorilissael to Gary. The happy pairs left the ground to the sound of more eggs cracking. A white and a blue joined the clutch mates in the outside world and a crack spilt in an emeralds egg. As the white and blue paired off; white leael to Dani and blue Morlenel to Damien the Emerald broke free, tripping on a wing tip. Zalkintea hurried over to the little dragon, untangling her, only to find I am Kessel. You feed me now? announced in her head. She left with the green. Whilst this had been going on a Brown and copper had been freed from their shells and stood looking around. Soon enough they spotted a likely pair and set off together. The copper looked up at the high face of Chris, he stood at 6’5” and Chris herd I am Beyel you feed me now you are mine? The brown had simultaneously arrived at Joseph, crooning pitifully Feed me, I am Oel, feed me? The two stood looking stunned before walking off in a daze. There now remained only two eggs, a Copper and the Gold, Five boys still stood, circling the last copper egg and three girls stood round the golden egg. After what seemed like hours to the remaining candidates cracks appeared in both shells. A girl fainted and a boy looked as if he were to be sick. Slowly, almost too slowly to the waiters, the shells cracked and two bodies, almost equal in size, fell onto the sand. The copper was the first to right himself and was almost certainly the largest copper hatched. He searched the ground, dark colouring shone in the light. Slowly he found Rio, eye’s whirling softly. I am Ravenel. The dragonette felt no need to say more as they left the grounds, both with their heads held high. The Gold watched them go before returning to the waiting girls. In a similar way to the copper she looked around and stretched her wings. Here eye’s finally came to rest.You are mine Kyrie, and I, Kyrissaeanel would like to be fed.
