Sarah please remember that Wellbutrin is an anti-depressant. Yes, it is commonly prescribed to get rid of nicotine cravings. I've heard it works for some for thier food cravings, although I've never seen it prescribed for that sole purpose. From my Experience, and I have helped hundreds over the years to quit smoking the combination of Zyban(Wellbutirn) and the use of the Patch have doubled the Quit Rate, also many reputable research studies indicate this too! - We are talking about 2 different things here Sarah. You are advocating the drug for nicotine fits and I'm saying it's probably not a good idea to jump into it just for food cravings. I KNOW about this drug and it's effectiveness in smoking cessation. I just don't think it's a good idea to run out and get it because someone described it as a "magic pill".
