She shuddered at the very thought of something as large as a dragon, but it had been a while, or it felt it since her new friend had left. Carefully she saddle her tabon and mounted up, fully intending to ride to Golan dran.*

Dual hoofbeats rang clear as the young man urged his team of stocky tabons onwards. Shading his eyes with a hand, he saw someone, apparently whom he was searching for.

"Aislinne!" he called out, in a light tenor voice, drawing the team to a square halt.

The mastermapper packed the bags tied to the saddle of his Tabon completely full. -- Danrick and Ranicka, 13:33:33 08/06/01 Mon
"Where's the meeting this time?" Ranicka questioned from behind a second Tabon.

"Not far, just over to Deman Court." Danrick replied as he fastened the straps of the bags and re-checked the girth.

"Well, if we're going to be there in time we should get going now. It's a good three day ride, and that's going easy." She stated, swinging up onto the buckskin gelding's back. "It would be easier to just enlist the Watcher for transport you know." The Courtess hinted.

"Yes, maybe, but the ride will be a nice break from trying to keep order in the Hall all the time. Yes I do have one of the other masters keeping an eye out, and you have that Quantsir fellow keeping an eye on things around the Court right?" He settled into the saddle and turned his dapple's head towards the road.

"Then, if all goes well, we shall be back by the end of the week." Ranicka stated as she sent her Tabon trotting down the well-kept cobblestone road, which would give way to packed dirt once they were outside Phyllat's boundaries.

And off they went, to one of the conferences held every other month by the Masters of the crafts and the Courters, or Courtess as it is with Phyllat.

*He was much better now, having had a while to recover. In fact, one of Creean's fellow herders had deemed him sound to ride again, and she wondered where he was. He seemed like a nice person.

She hitched Dream to the fence, where she had set up the battered tack she used on him, though before she threw a blanket over his back, she brushed him off to ensure he would get no saddle sores from caked mud, and that nothing was wedged in his hooves (???). Then, the rest was easier than usual, as if Dream actually wanted to go for a ride.

Reverie perched between the tabon's ears with a chirp. Why fly along after you when I can get a free ride?

At that, the girl laughed aloud.

*A girl that looked to be maybe 14 Rotations entered the Court* -- Aislinne, 11:34:09 03/25/01 Sun
*Her wavy reddish hair was drawn back in its usual
braid and she fidgeted, pulling her light cloak
tighter about her and then stopping to readjust the
light pack on the small tabon's back. As to why she
was not riding, one could see that the tabon limped
slightly as she led it forward. An emerald drake
situated itself on the girl's shoulder, wrapping its
long tail around her neck* (Aislinne)

Replies: A young apprentice, with a nudge or five from
his overseer walked up to the girl. "H'lo." He said.
"I noticed that you're Tabon's limpin', y'can brin'
'im to the stable and get 'im mended iffen y' wan'

me keep her. She's not the kind of Tabon he breeds,
and he wont have misfits in his stables. All I wan't

Her drake took a hopping stride off of her shoulder
and hovered near the apprentice with a few more
cheeps, a conversation between she and her human
friend* Crans, I've never seen her take to a stranger
like that. Must like you. *She observed with another
smile before looking back to Tori and her tabon* Well,
I'd love to take her, but as it is, I can scarcely
accomodate my four-legged friend here. *She patted her
own tabon, encouraging him to take a few more limping

One was her mare, that she had to sell or the mare would be killed, the pother two were both fillies, flighty and nervous. She was haveing trouble selling these two, but she couldn't go home with doing so. She sighed as she looked arround her and her mare lowed her head onto Tori's shoulder, as if trying to comfort the girl.* Anyone looking for a Mare?! Cheep!
