Caught between the stars
A well lit drowning

He had been here only a couple days- long enough to get his belongings settled into the small apartment that he was renting. His own law firm would be opening up tomorrow- it would be a big day. He had finished school a year ago, gotten some work in the field and decided this was what he wanted to do. No one would have ever believed it years ago- but now here he was, heading home from his small office that he had been working on preparing today.

The quaint little coffee shop had caught his eye on the way in, but at that time he had had no time to stop. He had wanted to make sure everything got done that needed to be done. And now, here he was, with some time on his hands that he could relax. Jake moved into the café, ordering a coffee then heading towards an unoccupied couch, he carefully sat down, taking a sip o the warm coffee and opened up the newspaper that was sitting on the coffee table. Absently he skimmed through the headlines, not finding too much of interest.

They say silence is golden
Loneliness never shined like this
