Date Posted: 11:17:03 12/13/03 Sat This site would have you believe that P.Central and SL were the best thing to ever hit KMOX. Not even close. I was there and Mt. Zion Prep appeard to be a far better team than PC and would have beat them if they played. Also #2 West Aurora played a much tougher opponent in Misouri's best private school Chaminade (ranked #4) who would dominate the CCL. While PC played a very weak Seagonville Tx. team that only has 2 other good players besides 6'11 all-american Lamarcus Aldridge. Corry Brewer of Portland Tenn had a tournament high 34pts, on a horible team that got beat by 30! Liddell looked very good in an exciting 1pt win over Kalen Grimes highly ranked Hazelwood Mo team. Illinois teams swept KMOX going 4-0! Best performances: SL, Aldridge (as mentioned); Shaun Pruitt 19pts (amidst constant tripple teaming), 15reb, 3stl, 2blk, 2ast Liddell 16pt, 6 reb, 5ast, 4stl - Great passer! Mt. Zion's Brandon Rush looksed amazing! very good shooter, very smooth, good handles and unbelievable hops! scored about 24pts including 5 astounding dunks - should defintiely be the #1 Jr in nation. Plays his game, complete game, knows his role/position - true wing forward. Unlike Julian Wright who thinks he's a "point guard". Rush is far better than Wright. Depaul recrut Dorell Wright (south kent prep) is a cocky, trash talking kid, but a great scorer/shooter - droped about 27 including several 3's. Other good players at event: Grimes - very strong inside but very few other noticable skills (13p 16r) Tangara (Zion) - almost clone of Grimes game (12p 8r) Glen Dandridge (Zion) - gerat athlete Jack McClinton (Kent) - small, quick scoring PG I didn't see the Bellville game but I heard it was a good one - X.Price had 13. GREAT EVENT!!! [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |
