Author: Ace
Subject: She jogged the rest of the way up the beach and dropped the Gabe-designed board on the sand, lifting a hand to flex her fairly non existant biceps. "Mommyhood has not undone me!" She joked before dropping down to the sand beside him, almost out of breath -- she was in pretty good shape from chasing kids all day but she hadn't had a proper workout in quite some time. "You're not doing too bad for an old man either.. I could still kick your ass though." She stopped herself, raised a brow. "I just said ass, and no one is going to hear and repeat it!" She dropped back in the sand, smiling broadly to herself -- there was something about the beach good for the soul.

  • He laughed, shaking his head. "I can't believe your so excited about saying 'ass'" He shook his head, playfully, a smile on his face as he watched her. "Your so childish, Acey." He grinned, leaning back against the palms of his hands as he looked up at the skye - noting how it was getting darker so much earlier in the day now that winter was closing in on them. His eyes moved over to Ace then, resting on her for a moment. It seemed their relationship was a stalemate, it wasn't going anywhere, wasn't growing any...it was just...there.
