Subject: I think about it all the time...

And then that time turns into more wasted time I think about later.

The hard part isn't really to start working on it tomorrow, it's to KEEP working on it the next day, and the next day, and the next day. I start a lot of things, but then I don't stick to it and end up with a home full of half-finished stuff that I don't have the motivation to get back to and finish.

I know I tend to overthink everything and don't have the patience to stick to long-term goals, and that makes it hard to go work towards them. But, it's also important to know your limits.

Right now I'm trying to get around that by changing my goals to forming habits. So instead of "drop ten pounds" I might set my goal to "Exercise for ten to fifteen minutes every day." That's a bit easier, and once I do exercise, I can just gradually extend it.

Another thing to consider is there's only so much time in a day, and you might need to give up something else to reach your goals. If you want to go to the gym and lose a few pounds, well, that's time you no longer have to watch tv, so maybe you need to drop that show you've been casually watching to make time for the gym.

Sometimes we can also waste time doing the wrong thing instead of just doing nothing.
