Subject: A bug, perhaps?

Me an my opponent just reached turn 32. In the briefing it says that a cease fire should begin in turn 32, however it doesn't.

Is this suppsoed to be repsented so that both sides agree not to attack, or should there be an event?

And another question:
The german infantry regiments have a strenght of ~100 heavy rifle squads. Soviet infantry divisions have ~180 rifle squads. This means that soviet rifle divisions were only about 1.8 times the size of an german infantry regiment. This can't be right, can it? What is the reason behind this?

Excellent scenario btw. Im addicted to it :)

The cease fire should come into effect automatically by the start of German turn 32 as an event, without the players having to worry about it (there should be an announcement in the news section).
In my own games there has been no problems with it (v3.8), but I haven't played a 3.8b game to that turn. (Only change between 3.8 and 3.8b is a bugfix of another event + change in credit, so it would be strange if is now messed up.
However, it wouldn't be the first time that we've had TOAW change events without any known cause, but looking through the event file of 3.8b I can't see there should be any problem with it. Strange indeed?

There were a wide variance in how different nations composed their divisions. Russian divisions generally were very small, with an Soviet Army not much bigger than an German Corps.
OTOH the British division were even bigger than the German by a substantial margin.
As for why it was this way I can't give a good answer on.

I have just tested the scenario (version 3.8b) and the cease fire DOES come into effect on turn 32.

But like Snefens mentioned, the TOAW engine is rather fragile (if you add a new formation it changes the names of formations being affected in some events in the event engine)

And like Snefens said there are no major changes between version 3.8 and 3.8b (at least not regaring cease fire), but if you want to check the event engine it should be event 229 that activates the first cease fire.

Also note that it does not say "cease fire" in the news, but "Heavy rain halts all offensive oprerations"

I noticed that you have posted an extensive AAR over at WarfareHQ. It's always nice to read what other players make out of the scenario.
I also looked at some of the screenshots, and then noticed the absence of fortifications on the Karelian Isthmus. We added these in the same version that we added the forced ceasefire (v3.6), leading me to believe that you are playing an earlier version, but reading a later briefing file?
