Subject: Golden Horseshoe Revue Music Record Album

I've just discovered this webpage and I'm absolutely transported! My gosh, I never knew there were others out there who loved this show as much as my family and I did.
We lived over an hour away from Disneyland, yet, my parents found the time and money to take all five of us to visit one special day every summer from 1955 to 1973. (..then we took over taking our own children for precious visits...)
Sometimes it would be 12 of us when family from out-of-state came to visit. Now my father is 80 years old and in declining health and we kids would love to find any information regarding how to buy a tape, CD, or original phonograph of The Golden Horseshoe Revue.
Dad would love to hear those old routines and songs again.
The Horseshoe was his favorite! We all loved to have lunch there everytime we visited.
To be very honest...our kids love to hear those old stories of how Disneyland used to be and how sad that it has changed so much, and not for the better, I'm afraid....
Anyway...if there is ANYONE out there who can guide us to information regarding purchasing this PLEASE contact me!
Thank you so much! :)

.....The 20th Century Music Store in Disneyland on Main Street. It is available through one of those "you order the CD yourself" machines and is an exact copy of the original album put out in the late 1950's with Wally Boag, Don Novis, Betty Taylor, and The Strawhatters.

Kris, you can also purchase a CD of the original recording of "The Golden Horseshoe Revue" through LaughingPlacetore.com. It sells for $22.00 plus handling and shipping. You may also be interested in knowing that I'm working with Wally Boag on a book about his career in show business - especially the 27 years he spent at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. It should be available in early 2005, in time for Disneyland's 50th birthday.
