Date Posted: Fri, Oct 07 2005, 0:46:23 why do singaporeans think lawyers can make miracles happen? a contract [any contract, timeshare or otherwise] needs an offer by 1 party and acceptance by the other party similarly, if u want to terminate the contract, u normally will need both parties consent what a lawyer can do, is to tell the party that maybe the timeshare company has made a false representation, and that if they don't allow termination, they will be sued in court... the lawyer cannot just transfer away your liability, even if there is a sucker willing to take it from u besides CASE, u can approach the free legal clinics conducted at many CCs in singapore for advice the forum is a nice place to talk, but for actual assistance, u need to let the experts [CASE or lawyers] see the contract signed not all timeshare contracts are the same...
