] Date Posted: Wed, Mar 16 2005, 20:19:29 cheers for all the good advice and warnings on the web. I promptly threw the recent mail from Oriental Travel away, the moment I opened it cos the contents were fishy. Seeing your posts in this forum confirms that I did right by throwing it away. would like to share what the letter is about so as to update the rest of the Timeshare Victims eCommunity. 1. apparently, a company called Jue Shi Marketing (JSM) / Touch & Tech Media - business registration no. 52996789L is doing the marketing FOR (sic) Oriental Travel now. 2. the letter, in flower-patterned paper, claims to be a "BIG AWARDS" notification, complete with a serial no. It says that you are THE lucky chap who has won a new Toyota Corolla, a 42" Plasma telly, a notebook PC or an elegant diamond watch. 3. the letter stated that after a thorough inventory check of the big awards (their English, not mine), certain big awards have not been claimed. So, Jue Shi received instruction from their HQ to distribute these big awards...and guess what, I am supposed to be one of the lucky chaps. 4. reverse the page and u see an entire page of rules, regulations and terms and conditions - including a clause that says I must sit thru the end of a 2hr advertsing presentation by the sponsor company with my wife in order to claim my prize. Even then, I must pay $49 for shipping and handling. 5. the last line on the reverse page says that the exhibition(?) does not feature timeshare holidays or point's holidays and there is no obligation to purchase or acquire anything. sorry abt the long post but hope this has been informative. rgds.
