It appears to the lawyer that the 'contract' which I signed with ERI does not constitute a proper contract at all. It is basically just an agreement which I was acknowledging with ERI. In fact, she mentioned that if I wanted to, I could just stop paying the installment, forgo my previous payments and the membership. I did ask her about getting sued by ERI for doing that, and she indicate that is not possible given that there is no proper/legal contract at all! You may want to further check on this. Date Posted: Sun, Nov 28 2004, 1:13:35 Hi Gary, I would like to know which lawyer you consulted with. I am one of the victim of ERI. 3 years ago I signed. I stopped payment from 2002 till now, they started to pester me again saying that they want to sue me. You mentioned that the contract is not proper and is only an agreement. I've heard from my friend's lawyer too that the contract is not valid. However, I would like to seek somebody who have deal with ERI before. Please advice, I hope can get termination letter from them. Else, like to seek lawyer's help. Jay: Have you seek help from lawyer? What's the outcome? [ Post a Reply to This Message ] |
