Subject: Mr. Balter - Anyone Remember Him? How about Howard Festburg??

Mr. Balter. remember him? I think he was a science teacher in Bildersee. One fine day in 1970 me and Joanne (Krivit) were cutting class and were busted by Mr. Balter. He yelled out our names as my hand was literally on the push bar of the exit door. As luck would have it, though, Howard Festburg appeared at that moment and apparently had a bone to pick with Mr. Balter. He screamed "You got balls, Balter!!!". over and over again, completely distracting Balter while Joanne and I got the hell out of there. I never did find out what Howard did to Balter, but I will tell you this, I remember Balter looking very scared. He was a real punk, actually. I hope Howard beat the crap out of him!

Balter was a jerk who would berate kids in class, bully them and accuse them of cheating - when they did nothing of the sort.

Jerry Balter - a quick search shows he taught there for 30 years. What a freaking pyschopath! Would berate kids until they cried in class. Said I must have cheated off the kid next to me because *I* had the highest score in the class on his test, then made me sit next to his desk for the next test and I got the highest score again. Fights in the halls; terror on the bus; Worst two years of my life -- was I glad to get the hell out of there.

Mr balter was an absolute bastard. I wasin ninth grade Znd wanted to audition for the hs of music and art. My audition was scheduled for the same day as mr balters midterm. At first he refused to allow to to take the exam on another day. Our guidance counselor called him and explained the situation. Mr balter rudely hung up on her! She called the vice principal mr sultano and he literally forced mr balter to give me the mid term exam on another day. I was accepted at the hs of Music and art and I owe a great thanks to the guide counselor. As for mr balter, if you are out there and are seeing this I sincerely (and I REALLY mean this) hope you drop dead.
