Steven Accardi, so many years. I hope that you are happy and well.

Thank you for your kind words about Mike. But, I must correct you on two points.

1. The truth is, Mike picked on the less fortunate to some extent just like the rest of us and I distinctly remember him being put in the closet forcibly at least once. Most of us took turns being 'less fortunate', except for maybe you and Mase as the creators of 'the Policy'.

Usually, Mike and I teamed up for various shennanigans. But probably the funniest episode involved Mike Cohen and Randall Rogg cutting class.

The whole school was in an uproar as wild rumors broke ranging from stories that the two of them were caught with various illegal drugs on their person to Rogg being hospitalized due to a drug overdose and all kinds of other baloney with absolutely no basis. The last I heard, Randall Rogg and Mike were caught cutting class and Rogg was found with what turned out to be prescription medication on him...and I still don't even know if that was the truth. The whole school was talking about this for hours.

FYI Steve, Mike told me that the name Cohen was actually Consevich (don't know if I have the spelling right) in Europe and changed to Cohen at Ellis Island. Mike was never religious, but fortunately believing in G-d isn't required to have G-d believe in any of us. Mike had a good heart and soul and I hope to see him again after I leave this side of the mortality. I really have to because, the last time I saw him in August, 2007, Mike edged me me out at ping-ping at a local pool hall in Brooklyn (a battle we had many times on Flatbush in the old days) and I want a rematch.

Seriously, I'm so glad I saw him that last time as things from the heart were said that I'm glad I got the chance to tell him and have the experiences of that day (even dinner at the deli on Avenue U).
