YES! I saw it and for the first time thought that Scully was responding, actively noticing Rheyes. I've kind of worried that Rheyes was going to be in an unrequited thing.

I think it has to do more with Scully's character than Anderson being tired of the show. (I think Anderson's more professional than that.)

Scully has been through the ringer and now Mulder, if nothing else the father of her long desired and now strange baby is gone. While she struggles with Dogget doing his cynical-yet-puppy-dog character.

I think at the very least Scully is reassured to have in Monica another intelligent woman that she can trust and who understands that it's never as simple as it appears. So yes, I have hopes for Rhyes/Scully.
