Subject: Morning MIss D, I'm here, totally knackered and very happy:0)
In reply to: Dhvana 's message, "Morning Miss V! How are you? How's Pete? Did you go to the doctor on Friday--what'd they say? I'm here, tired, bitter, wishing I could to home, but here. And much tanner than I was. ;)" on 08:43:40 09/20/04 Mon

Drs sending a sample to the hospital to check if I'm pregnant but she seems to think I'll be ok, I should take my medication with a biscuit to see if I stop feeling sick at night.

Pete is wonderful, we had such a laugh at the rehearsal and afterwards I had him just where I wanted, wound him up good and proper with my new boots and lots of posing around:0)

silly boy didn't tell me he had to go back to Hastings to work on Saturday until the alarm went off at 5am, bearing in min dwe didn't get home till last 1am! After work he then had to drive up to Birmingham, about 5 hours from Hastings for a weekend music festival.

We've had some good old text flirting today, and he's wetting himslef over Kirsten Dunst ( I made the mistake of asking him to the Premiere tonight - he probably wont be able to get there in time though)

So why are you bitter? Cos you've gone back to work today?

Glad you had a good time with Pete. :) And that was just silly of him--how's he going to manage all that on no sleep?

Yeah, I'm bitter b/c I'm back at work. You spend a weekend getting used to going out every day and experiencing something different every hour, then resent getting stuck here doing the same thing for hours on end. Sigh...

But Chevelle is coming to Austin next month, and that makes me happy. :) Even if they are playing on a Wednesday night.

[> [> [> so aer you glad you went? Is AJ really jealous? I bet she would have given anything to see Franz. Just think you're the first out of all of us to see them -- vx, 09:21:34 09/20/04 Mon

Don't know about AJ--haven't spoken to her in ages. Our schedules just don't seem to coincide at the moment.

I was actually surprised at the college-aged guys rocking out to Franz (though they gave each other odd looks during "Michael", LOL, but the girls were screaming for it). They really drew a large crowd. Hopefully the next time in town, they'll be on a larger stage, or at least a better sounding one.

I think I made the ache in my back worse by carrying a couple gallons of water around for two days, but it was either that or spend a fortune on water.

[> [> [> [> [> y'all got the bug now:0) I'm glad FF got a good reception, they are really nice boys. they won a presitigious music comp and are going to use the prize money to build a music studio thing for poor people in Glasgow -- vx, 10:04:18 09/20/04 Mon

Oh the lugging around of water and stuff, always a bit of a pain but you do need it. At least you don't have to carry around wet weather clothing, warm clothing, toilet paper etc. like we have to do over here.

so who else did you like? What were Morning Jacket like? A mate really likes them but I haven't heard any of their stuff

[> [> [> [> [> [> That was awfully nice--good for them! -- Dhvana, 10:25:56 09/20/04 Mon

Actually, I did bring toilet paper because those portable toilets are never stocked, but no, multiple layers of clothes were definitely not needed, LOL. Everyone was wearing as little as possible. Which made me realize just how few men have six-pack abs. Sure, they may have gorgeous bodies with nice, flat stomachs, but those abs are usually missing unless they're muscle bound freaks. Don't know why women think so much of them.

My Morning Jacket was all right--I wouldn't spend money on them alone (or a CD for that matter) but it was fine to stand there and listen to. Modest Mouse I mainly went to for one song and because my sister likes them--they were good, but ended their set early. Calexico was a lot of fun--good dancing music with a Latin twist. (Also went to see them because my sister and her boyfriend are into them and I liked the CDs they had me listen to.) G. Love and Special Sauce I went to b/c of my sister yet again, but ended up enjoying a lot. Fun, funky music. Trey Anastasio I really want to look into more--he was great. (But then, I like Phish and he used to play with them.) I didn't really see many of the headliners. I liked the smaller ones better. :)

and on a completely different note, I got unevenly burnt yesterday and now my legs are all splotchy, darnit.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> hmm I prefer the up and coming bands tents myself -- vx, 10:44:13 09/20/04 Mon

mens' bodies are officially not good are they? Pete hasn't lost any weight at all, probably put some on! When the other boys in the band were topless, he kept his sweaty t-shirt on. Poor thing can't make the premiere either, too short notice for him to get sorted with clean clothing and arrive in time as its an early start. Pity, as I fancied being Mr and Mrs.Rock Stah walking down the red carpet
