I'm from Spain and my english is not still very good, but i'll do whatever i can to answer the question. =)

I think that she just think too much in her. She's worried about how Paulie would be after that but in the film you can't feel that. You only see that she says to Mary to have care of her...but...is this enough? I mean she doesn't seem very worried about and if Paulie is the person who really loves...is this possible?? I don't think so.

Tory is the kind of person that needs to be with other people, she can't be alone, neither with Paulie. She needs to feel that people "need" her too, that people is with her, not against her, and she thinks that saying to people: Hey! I'm in love with a girl! people will shown their back to her. And this is what really happens. When the find out that Paulie loves Tory, no one stays with her, they leave her absolutly alone, marginated. And what Tory said to her sister is the reason why this happens. Could you be that cruel?? I think i couldn't.

She's afraid of what their parents will say if they find out that she's in love of a girl. In a way I can understand her, but from the other hand...how can she lend her girlfriend, the person who she really loves, commit suicide?? This has no answer. And also...there's a scene, before playing football where Tory is talking about how she likes that Jake touches her...and Paulie is there. Does Tory want Paulie to hate her?? Maybe she wants that, but at night he told Paulie that she is the only one she trully loves. I mean..hey! and what about Paulie? She sees her gf telling to people that she has almost ravished her, she is alone cause Mary is not the one who can help her, her mother don't want to know anything about her. Does Tory know all that?? Does she?? And Paulie still try to recuperate her, she tries over and over again. And Tory always says the same.
Anyway, I want to think that if Tory had known that Paulie will commit suicide she would stop her, cause, with the death of Paulie she will be unhappy for all of her life.

I would write more, but I don't have more time today. What do you think about?
