Tory must have been worried more than the movie shows, that is true. Deep inside her heart she really loved Paulie, but she just couldn't show it in public. Tory was really afraid that other people will notice she is in love with a girl, and she was hurt by hiding this fact. Maybe she never thought that Paulie would go to the extent of killing herself, if she left her. She would never have done something like that, if she knew.

She used Jake as a means to hide all her true feelings i think..she wasen't in love with Jake. Tory has to suffer the consequences now that she lost Paulie, and she feels it was her fault although we know that it wasen't only because of Tory that Paulie committed suicide. There was her mother too who abandoned her. For Paulie it was too much that the most significant persons in her life ,left her.

All of you have a great point of view about how Tory thinks....these were some things i thought about when this question popped out in this forum, but i know that there is much more to say and talk about.
